HELP! How do I renew my membership online?
It's easy! You can do this. We have created this Instruction Guide to walk you through step-by-step. The Instruction Guide opens in another window, then start at the Membership Login page and go through the steps.  If you have any problems, feel free to contact us ... we are here to help!

This is my first time using the Online Membership interface - how do I get started?
First, start at the Membership Login page and request your username and password (see more hints below).  Once you get the email with your username and password, enter the information on the same Membership Login page.  This login method will give you access to a special menu of options for changing your password (do this now!), updating your contact information, printing your membership card, and renewing your membership annually.  Most of these topics are covered in other answers on this page - but if you still have question, don't hesitate to contact us.

Do I need to use a desktop or laptop computer to access the online membership?
Generally, you can use any computer or mobile device that has an internet connection and a browser that can open the Arizona Quilters Guild website.  While we have tried to make our website look good on all the most common platforms and devices, you may see odd formatting on your specific device.  If you bring these details to our attention, we will do our best to correct them.

I don't think it is working correctly - what should I do?
We have done our best to identify and fix the bugs before we launched the online tool ... but usage by the membership is always the best way to find a few more!  Here is a list of issues that we already know about and are working on the fixes:

  • The CHANGE PASSWORD button has an odd shape
  • AQG Members who share the same first and last name need customized usernames; contact the AQG Membership Director
  • AQG Members who either do not have an email address or share an email address with another AQG Member will need help accessing their password; contact the AQG Membership Director

If you see another issue or think the online tool is not working correctly, we thank you for bringing it to our attention by contacting us as soon as possible.

... about the username and password

Does the azquilter username still work?
Yes, the azquilter username still works; however, the password changes at the end of every membership year (June 30).  Members with active memberships will recieve an email notifying them of the new password.  It is also available on your new membership card.

What is my personal username?
By default, your personal username is your first and last name as it appears on your current membership registration written without spaces and with the first letters capitalized.  Example: SusanQuilter.  You can change your usename by clicking the CHANGE MY LOGIN button and following the instructions.

Which username should I use?
The only time you MUST use your personal username is when you need to update your contact details, access your membership card, or to use the online membership renewal.  All other Members-Only restricted content is available to both the azquilter username or your personal username.

What if I forget my password?
From the Members Login page, click the FORGOT PASSWORD button.  An email with your username and password will be sent to the address on your current membership registration.  If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, please check your email Spam folder or Junk folder.  Add membership@azquiltersguild.org to your contacts list to make sure the email gets delivered to your Inbox folder.  Use your username and password to access your personal account; consider changing your password to something you will easily remember.

... about my Membership Card

How do I print my membership card on paper?
For this step, you must use a computer or mobile device that is connected to a printer.  Login to the Membership-Only section of the Arizona Quilters Guild website with your personal username and password; click the MEMBERSHIP CARD button.  Click the PRINT button at the bottom of the colorful card; this will open up the Printer Manager for your system - select any options that are appropriate and click OK.  If you want to print the card without the colorful background, you should check and/or adjust the printer Properties before clicking OK.  Would pictures help? How do I save my membership card on my mobile device?
This answer is specific to common mobile devices, however screenshot capabilities are available on most computers if you wish to save your membership card to that system.  Similar to printing on paper, login to the Membership-Only section of the Arizona Quilters Guild website with your personal username and password; click the MEMBERSHIP CARD button.  The method to take a snapshot of the screen is device specific, but the general steps are (1) you usually need to press two buttons simultaneously and hold for a few seconds, (2) you may hear a camera shutter sound or see the screen flash, (3) your screen photo will be saved to your default photo gallery.  Here are a few of the more common devices and button combinations:

  • iPhones & iPads: simultaneously press and hold [the Sleep/Wake button + the Home button]
  • Sony Android: press and hold the power button; this will open a menu - select SCREENSHOT
  • Android devices with a HOME button: simultaneously press and hold [the Home button + the Power button]
  • Other Android devices: simultaneously press and hold [the Power button + VolumeDown button]

How do I request a printed membership card?
If you are unable to print your own membership card, please contact the AQG Membership Director (membership@azquiltersguild.org) and request that one be printed and mailed to you.  If your mailing address is international, your membership card will be mailed to your Primary Chapter in Arizona.

What if I loose my membership card?
If you loose your membership card and suspect that is was stolen, please contact the AQG Membership Director (membership@azquiltersguild.org).

... about the Member, Chapter, and Affiliate directories

What is the difference between the Static and Dynamic directories?
The Static directories are digital printouts (PDF format) of the directory saved at a specific date/time.  These files can be opened, searched, and printed using any PDF reader software (like Acrobat Reader).  The content of these files only changes when a new directory is saved and posted.

The Dynamic directories are an interface into the AQG Membership directory.  Their contents are updated whenever a member makes and saves changes to their contact details.  You can search the Dynamic directory (see hints below) and use the PRINT LINK at the top of the page to print the results and create your own customized, static directory.

How long does it take for MY DETAILS updates to appear in the directories
If you click the MY DETAILS button and make changes to your contact information, the changes will be available in the Searchable Directory as soon as you click the SAVE button (bottom of the page).  Check it out for yourself!  Open the MEMBERS DIRECTORY, search for your own name, and confirm that your entry includes the information that you provided.

Your changes will be available in the Static Directory the next time the Membership Director updates the directory file.

How do I search the Dynamic directories?
Access the Dynamic directories from either the MEMBER LINKS menu or the Members-Only Directory page.  In the Search Box at the top of the page, type a word or phrase that will match a name, address, phone number, Chapter, or other detail in the open directory; click the GO button.  If the page is blank, then your search phrase did not match any records in the directory; check for typographical errors or try a different search phrase.

To undo a search and see all available records, make sure that the Search box is blank and click GO.  This resets the search engine.

Some common searches you might want to try:

  • Search on a specific member's first and/or last name; searches are not case sensitive
  • Search on specific Chapter name or Member-at-Large
  • Search on city or zip code

How do I request a printed roster?
Revised details will be posted soon.
