JoAnn Rice Electric Quilt 7 Quilt Design: An End User Perspective

Rather, we will discuss features that will assist a prospective owner to understand how EQ7 can help them design their projects. The discussion will include the following topics: What is EQ7 Software? What are the benefits a quilter can expect to receive by using this software? What kind of computer expertise & knowledge does a prospective owner need to have? The next step - taking the leap & other anxiety issues ... and much more!  We will conclude with a Question and Answer session.

Meet the Speakers for the 2017 Quilt Show

JoAnn Rice is an AQG Traveling Teacher, the current AQG Membership Director, and member of the Delightful Quilters Chapter.  She is a quilter and machine embroidery enthousiast who incorporates EQ7, Photoshop, and embroidery digitizing software in her creative process. She holds a BS in Textile Science and an MBA in Sales and Marketing, but is now happily retired and enjoying married life.
She aquired the Electric Quilting Software (EQ7) early in her quilting journey and then upgraded to EQ Stitch when that product was released. She appreciates how the use of EQ7 in the quilt design process simplifies color choices, especially since auditioning fabrics takes only seconds. EQ7 is easy to learn because there is well written software documentation and superb learning tools available in both web based and hardcopy formats.

Helen Frost is a name that is familiar to quilters, especially those who have been quilting for more than twenty years. She is known for her innovative strip-piecing techniques for the Nine-Patch, Sunshine & Shadow, and Lone Star designs. She has taught at guilds and conferences across the country and in Europe. In 2009, Helen was inducted into the Arizona Quilter’s Hall of Fame. She and her husband live in Tucson, Arizona, and are the parents of four grown children.

Diane Pitchford is an NQA Certified Quilt Judge and a member of the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges. In addition, she has been a member of AQG since 1985 and has held many Board positions including President 2003-2004 and Quilt Show Chair and Co-Chair many times.
