Chapter Reports: Friendship Quilters

2016 Reports

February 2016

The Friendship Quilt Guild became an idea about a year and a half ago. Casa Grande did not have any type of quilt meeting that the public could go to learn and enjoy the comradery with other quilters. And with so many snow birds that come to the Casa Grande area Mary M. and Brenda W. got together and decided “hey, let’s do something crazy!” And the Friendship Quilt Guild was born. We had our first meeting one year ago in January 2015.

We know that as a young quilt guild we have a long way to go. But our goals as a group is to share what we know, learn more, and give back to our community.

We meet during the winter months at the Dorothy Powell Senior Center in Casa Grande. So if you happen to be in Casa Grande area on the second Wednesday of the month around 9/9:30 in the morning come to the meeting. All is welcome and you will have a great time.
