Pamela Green

Pam Green has been crafting with a sewing machine since she learned to sew in her junior high home economics class. She has sewn clothing, home decor items, smocked dresses for her two daughters and now makes quilts. Living in several Southern states gave Pam a true appreciation for quilting’s legacy. Pam took a quilting class in 1982 and hasn’t looked back since. She has lived in several states and spent 12 years living in Indonesia before moving to AZ in 2001.

After setting down roots in AZ, Pam found the Delightful Quilters group and has been stitching with these ladies since August 2001. She has served on the DQ planning team for many years, including several as the Chapter Chair (AQG representative), recording secretary and is now that chapter’s treasurer. Pam also served a term on the Arizona Quilters Hall of Fame Board of Directors.

Pam has had numerous jobs, including being a preschool teacher, a fabric store sales clerk, a physical therapist’s front office assistant, and an insurance office agent. In Indonesia Pam taught high school mathematics at an international school. She now spends time working at a local quilt shop and loves meeting new people and helping them with their projects.

Pam and her husband share their house with 3 rescued dogs and between them have 6 kids and three grand babies.

Pam is looking forward to meeting more quilters in AZ and being part of the dynamic group that guides the Arizona Quilters Guild.
