Director: National Educator Director

Terri Estes

Terri’s love of sewing and needle arts comes from her mother and maternal grandmother although neither were quilters.  Terri began quilting in the mid 1990’s when, after an unfortunate Christmas crafting and decorating spree involving copious amounts of gold spray paint and glitter, her husband and daughter requested she stop watching HGTV.  While searching for a creative outlet she met a quilter through the Mother’s Guild at her daughter’s school and the rest is history.  She sees the beauty in all styles of quilting; vintage, modern, art and everything in between, but her heart lies with scrap quilts and civil war fabrics.

Terri currently is employed by Talbots Outlet as an Assistant Store Manager and is a member of their traveling team helping to set up and open new store locations. Her years in retail continue to feed her love of fabric, color and design.

Terri and her husband were high school sweethearts and will celebrate their 42 wedding anniversary this year. They have two children, a son who resides in Arizona and a daughter who resides in Louisiana with their son in law and only grandson.

Terri has been a member of Quilters Anonymous since 2012. She is currently serving as Program Chair, a position she has held since the fall of 2014.
